Whoa Nellie!!!

Okay, here's the jist:

I just came back from driving tonight, and I was at a busy Intersection near my house on Route 14, as some of you may know it's a busy street, and so I'm first in line at a red light just before the pedestrian crosswalk. Traffic is moving fast. Three girls start on the crosswalk in front of me, they have the right of way. All of a sudden, a car is starting to turn (which IS legal) on to the lane next to me, but his headlights don't hit the girls until his bumper is ON THE CROSSWALK!!!! He slams on the brakes *SCREEEEEEEEECH!!!!* and an oncoming car hits the turning car in the wheel well on the passenger side. Those girls could have been killed, it was so close, and so scary. I could have witnessed three innocent teenage girls killed, but luckily, I only saw a car get a dent. The cars pulled off to a nearby gas station and the turning cars' passengers stepped out (teenagers, driver and passenger) and set it all okay. The girls ran off in fear unharmed, just shocked. So my friends, it goes to show; driving is dangerous. Please please please be careful, okay?

Anyway, sorry to sound like a worried old fart.

My dad and little brother once had a guy flip sideways right in front of them on the interstate, and he kept flipping until he was in the median! It was a miracle no one hit him on the way there. But he stopped in the median and got out, and he was drunk but he was okay. I guess miracles happen daily. :shrug:
